Mustapha Hydara's PledgePage
I am Mustapha Hydara an online volunteer facilitator for Nabuur responsible for ASOD-Uganda village named Kamwokya. I have been volunteering for this village more then 20 months while am residing in South Korea. Due to my passion to support those in need especially the orphanage communities. I felt deeply to spare my time to promote the interest of this group in Uganda. The aspiration I show with the volunteer of ASOD had made me strongly confident of their abilities in rendering services to the orphans.
Action to Support Orphans and Disadvantaged (ASOD) Uganda started in 2004 May, as a grassroots charity. On the 26th July 2005 the organization was officially mandate by the laws of Uganda as a local non-government organization (NGO) working within slum areas of Kampala, with it’s head office at Kamwokya-Kampala. The mission of ASOD is to make substantial contribution towards the fight against HIV/AIDS and improve health status of the disadvantaged community, through interventions in three integrated sectors of education, health and HIV/AIDS. Thus build human capacity and create synergy between sectors. It also adopted an online volunteers that help us out in various capacities. Pledge note from the Director of ASOD Mr John Tumwebaze Dear Sir/Madam Re: Help to raise $ 5000 for orphan’s sponsorship Action to Support Orphans and Disadvantaged ASOD-Uganda is a Non- Governmental Organisation registered with Uganda government to address the problem of orphans and other vulnerable children are facing in core social sectors of Educational and Health. ASOD services our 4200 children through community Based Rehabilitation program and supporting total of 594 children to access primary, secondary, vocational and university education at millennium college. ASOD is currently operating in very small rented buildings and around 100metres is a school structure which is vacant we need to raise $5000 as rent fee so that these orphans can occupy it . It has three blocks each block has four big rooms, with a kitchen and well fenced I believe it is enough for these children’s accommodation and class rooms. The rapidly increasing number of orphans and other vulnerable children flocking at our centre in need of accessing Education has put ASOD in significant pressure of mobilizing financial resource to sponsor these children. ASOD has very low resource base which can not adequately cater for school fees and other school requirements of all the vulnerable children under its care, and It’s upon this background that ASOD requests your esteem organization to raise funds for orphans sponsorship, where possible individual sponsors for each child is encouraged. Your support will go along way in putting a smile in the face of Orphans and Other vulnerable children in Uganda. “Hope Never Run Dry for Orphans.” It’s our prayer that your esteem organization responds positively towards our request. Thanks Yours Faithfully John Tumwebaze Director |
